" And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed." (Mark 1:34.) I love this. Here we find Jesus stealing away time to spend in the presence of his Father. The crowds where searching for him. But they couldn't find him because he was lost in his pursuit of a fresh filling from above.
Jesus found time before he began his day to empty himself in prayer before his heavily father so he might be filled with power from on high to meet the needs of those the father would draw to him throughout the day. Jesus is modeling for us what he desires to do for us and through us. All we need to do is to make ourselves available to him upon waking in the morning. Saying something to the effect. 'I awake to do your will'. The usefulness of any vessel is its emptiness. So let us strip ourselves bare before God and let him fill us with fresh vision and power to accomplish his will each day :-) Brother Q :-)
